It is with great regret that I cant attend BarCamp tomorrow.
My sons christening had to be postponed a week and is now happening at the same time. I was really really looking forward to it.
I had hoped I might be able to send an alternative and had started a humorous animation/presentation of the main points to send in my place but in the end it didn’t happen due to a few reasons.
This week required the submissions to both the InterTrade Ireland ALL ISLAND SEEDCORN COMPETITION and the Drogheda Chamber of Commerce Awards. While I had planned and set aside time for them a very interesting opportunity then came up for Weddings By Adam and I had to spend time on preparing for that.
Sorry, I realise that the event only happens with the commitment and follow through of each person so I feel I have let you guys down. I have no doubt it will go brilliant without me though and I am equally sorry I will be missing the chat and fun. I was both shitting it and looking forward to the presentation.
I will try and get the animated version finished and online soon.
Is anyone recording the day?

Missed ya Alan.
Although got to say it is a relief to see you young people being occasionally overwhelmed by the multiplicity of businesses you are juggling :-)
Hope the christening was a happy and special time for you.

Sorry you couldn’t make it Alan. Was looking forward to your talk and to meeting you. And I wasn’t the only one.
Anyway, looks like there’ll be another BarCampIreland in the not too distant future, if that’s any consolation.
